MPUMALANGA - A leopard mauled a tour operator who was driving an open-top safari vehicle through the Kruger National Park on the afternoon of 2 July.
According to The Lowvelder the tour operator was accompanying tourists on a game drive through the park when they spotted a leopard lying in the grass.

The leopard has reportedly been euthanised while the tour operator is being treated at a nearby hospital.
The attack is strikingly similar to the tragic incident in which an American tourist was killed by a lion at The Lion Park in Fourways last month.
Katherine Chappell had been visiting the park with a tour operator when a lioness attacked her through her open car window.
The lioness which attacked Chappell was, however , not euthanised but rather moved to a facility which is not open to the public.
The tour operator who was with Chappell at the time reportedly suffered a mild heart attack during the incident and now claims to be suffering psychological trauma since the incident.
