Fourways task team strives for community peace
FOURWAYS – Future City task team committed to a better Fourways community.
A task team is planning to address the ongoing issues outside Builders Warehouse Fourways regarding the job seekers who have created friction within the community.
The team consists of City councillors, police officers, Metro police, Future City Fourways, Fourways Community Policing Forum, City of Johannesburg Health, Safety and Security, Region A City management, the leadership of MassMart and MassMart Security, the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Justice.

“The task team, which is being co-ordinated by City councillors David Foley and Candice Brown, as well as other area role players, are working towards a holistic solution,” said Jean Berdou, a member of Future City Fourways.
He added that all the steps to be taken would be for the benefit of the job seekers, the customers of Builders Warehouse and the community at large.
“The object is to address the socio-economic issues that underline the problem and to take appropriate security and other measures to protect the rights of all.”
Certain aspects of the insulation will be made public and the substantial security operation details will be kept confidential. More information about the task team and their endeavors will be released soon.
