Woman in blue is nominated for Top Cop Award
DOUGLASDALE – Read to see who is nominated for the Top Cop Award for February.
With the successful running of the Top Cop Awards last year, the exciting initiative is back again.
The initiative provides community members with the opportunity to nominate and vote for police officers of the Douglasdale Police Station who they believe have excelled in the line of duty.
Constable Duduzile Hlatshwayo, who works in supply chain management, was nominated for the Top Cop Award for February. She manages the stores, ensuring that there is enough stock to be distributed to each office when requested.

According to Brigadier Lettie Hugo, Hlatshwayo is a dedicated member of the police force who is always willing to assist where she can.
“Duduzile goes the extra mile to a point where she even does her job during her lunch time,” Hugo said.
She added that during January, both the fleet manager and procurement practitioner were on leave for two weeks and Hlatshwayo was able to step in and fill the gap.
“I have not received any complaints about Hlatshwayo’s service and her office, which is always a good sign for me,” Hugo concluded.
