Saints sports festival a month away

BRYANSTON – The Old Stithian Association announces an upcoming sports festival during the Easter weekend.

The 2017 Saints Sports Festival is only a month away and it looks like it is going to be an amazing weekend of great sports, festivities and entertainment for the whole family.

The Old Stithian Association (OSA) will run the food and beverages sections of the Easter festival and everyone is encouraged to come and see how the festival has grown over the years. OSA Chair, Shaun Edmeston said of the event, “The school has become a cultural melting pot over the Easter weekend in Johannesburg and the festival brings an opportunity to bump into old and new alumni.”

The OSA’s key project this year will be the launch of a recruitment and networking portal. The portal will not only connect job seekers with employee seekers but also launch a networking schedule of events and gatherings for all the alumni. The portal will be for the young and the old, who are looking to grow in their careers and will be launched towards the end of this year.

The Higher Ground project has planned extensions to the building and additions to make the experience even better. The first round of planning has been completed and will start taking on a new shape as the year progresses.

The OSA’s lottery is growing with every release and an alteration for this year will see only one lottery held each year and then the period will be every eight months. “We have amazing prizes and with the price of R500 for… in the region of R250 000, who could argue with the opportunity. The Saints sports festival is definitely one to mark on your calendar and I hope to see many people at the event,” said Edmeston.
