Man killed, two others injured in Rivonia collision
RIVONIA – 'Two other patients, a man and woman, were assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries.'
A man was killed and two others injured on Thursday evening, 21 December, following a rear-end collision between two light motor vehicles on the N1 highway near the Rivonia Road offramp.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find both vehicles on the left-hand side of the road.

“The body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found lying behind one of the light motor vehicles,” said Meiring.
“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead.
“Two other patients, a man and woman, were assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries.”
Meiring said the paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Life Fourways Hospital and another private hospital for further treatment.
“The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
