Don’t miss Douglasdale CPF’s sector meet and-greet meetings
FOURWAYS – Get the lowdown on where the meetings will take place at the following dates and locations.
Over the course of May, the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) is reaching out to all its sectors to look for any community members who would be interested in joining the CPF as members.
In a statement, the CPF said, “We will be holding public meet-and-greet meetings to allow communities the opportunity to come through and meet the existing CPF committee members from each sector, as well as Saps representatives working in the sector.
“The main purposes of CPFs at police station level is to establish, promote and maintain partnerships between the community and Saps and Metro police and stakeholders in the fight against crime, as well as promoting effective communication and cooperation between the Saps and Metro police and the community.
“The CPF gets involved in many voluntary activities including awareness campaigns, Neighbourhood Watch, communication and other activities to assist Saps and Metro police.
“If you are interested in getting involved to assist in making the communities we live in a safer place, please come through to one of our meet-and-greet meetings to meet Saps and CPF members.”
The meetings will take place at the following dates and locations:
- Sector 1 – 14 May at 6pm at Sharonlea Primary School (Cnr. Mahogany & Camphor streets, Sharonlea Ext 6). Sector 1 includes: Jukskei Park, Noordhang, Douglasdale, Johannesburg North, Olivedale, Bellairspark, Sharonlea and Meadowhurst.
- Sector 2 – 19 May at 10am at the Soccer Field (Agnes R, Bloubosrand: next to Pipeline
Informal Settlement) and on 26 May at 10am at the Open Municipal Land (corner of 3rd Street and Romney Ave, Chartwell). Sector 2 includes: Chartwell, Farmall, Cosmo Creek, Kya Sand, Hoogland, Bloubosrand, Riverbend AH, Needwood, Johannesburg North, Maroeladal, Cedar Lakes, Craigavon AH and Mostyn Park, Inandan AH. - Sector 3 – 19 May at 10:00 at Indaba Hotel (corner William Nicol Drive and Pieter Wenning Road). Sector 3 includes: Fourways Mall, Roospark AH, Witkoppen, Brooadacres Park, Broadacres, Kengies, Kengies Extension, Dainfern and Dainfern Ridge.
Sector 4 – 17 May at 18:00 the Lonehill Village Church (23 Crestwood Drive, Lonehill). Sector 4 includes: Magaliessig, Magaliesview, Blue Heaven, Blandford Ridge AH, Pineslopes AH, Lone Hill, Beverley AH
