Pedestrian in serious condition after being struck down in Paulshof

At 4.10pm on Tuesday, 25 September, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a pedestrian knocked down on the corner of Rivonia and Witkoppen roads in Paulshof.

According to Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer for Netcare 911, reports from the scene indicated that a 37-year-old male pedestrian was struck down by a light motor vehicle while crossing the road.

The patient had sustained serious injuries and required advanced life support intervention.

After the patient was stabilized he was transported to hospital for further assessment and care.

All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
