Despite bushbaby protest, construction to go ahead

WATERFORD – The planned building next to Waterford Estate has been approved by the City, which is a blow to the bush babies in the area.

The development plans for the area next to Waterford Estate, which is home to a group of bushbabies, has officially been approved by the City Council.

Residents and concerned citizens had been protesting the building of about 13 residences on the land since August last year, and the matter was discussed in a tribunal in May. Although details are currently scarce, it is likely that dissenters will appeal.
