VOX POPS: What is one thing you are looking forward to when the lockdown ends?
JOBURG – With all non-essential businesses closed due to the lockdown, getting our favourite foods or bonding over good movies has been forbidden in the efforts of flattening the curve of coronavirus infections in the country.
DEBORAH LABISTOUR: One thing I can't wait to do is to eat enough sushi to make up for the days I couldn't get some. I plan to go with my close friends to our favourite place.
Whether it be sweet delights, visiting friends and family or even going to the gym, the two-week extension of the lockdown imposed by President Cyril Ramaphosa has left everyone wondering when will the lockdown end and it be safe for South Africans to resume normal life. The Fourways Review took to the cyber streets to ask people what is the one thing they are looking forward to when the lockdown ends.

KAYLA SMITH: I can’t wait to get back to my old routine of doing work in the day and attending my night classes with my close friend. Also seeing my boyfriend, going out for dinner and drinks with friends.
DOREEN KUNAKA: I miss exercising and walking on the road. Getting fit at home is not the same as walking on the road. I cannot wait to walk on the road again.
JADE WALSH: I definitely miss eating take-aways. So I would definitely go eat delicious food that we don’t have to make.
CHELSEA VAN EEDEN: When the lockdown ends, I’d like to go out with my friends. I miss it, and I miss them.
MEGAN LAND: I really miss my dad at the moment, so I can’t wait to see him. And I can’t wait to see my family and friends, and have everyone together again.
ORTAL HADAD: I would love to hug someone! I honestly miss physical contact so much. It’s the small things that make such a difference.
SHAYLEE KRUMPLES: I cannot wait to get Mochachos with my boyfriend. I also would really love to go on adventures with the people I love.
TARRYN WALTON: Since I’m in the UK right now, I am more than keen to come back to South African and see all of my friends.
