Councillor Matome Mafokwane wishes Ward 115 residents a merry Christmas

DOUGLASDALE – Mafokwane said this year will always be remembered as a year that brought about change and introduced the world into a new way of living.

The councillor of Ward 115 Matome Mafokwane shared his heartwarming Christmas wishes to the residents living in the area.

He said the year 2020 will always be remembered as a year that brought about change and introduced the world into a new way of living.

Mafokwane highlighted his experiences of a challenging 2020 as it draws near to its end. “The year changed many of our known normal patterns of living to adapt new normal. It taught us to show more love, affection and care to those we claim to deeply care about. It also introduced us to a new normal of social distancing while taking us back to hygiene basics to wash our hands often.”

He urged those who will be visiting their relatives in other provinces to drive safely and to continue adhering to all precautionary measures as they visit friends and family members during the festive season.

“I appeal to all citizens, young and old, to continue practising social distancing in order to reduce the number of daily infections and flatten the curve and the spread of the coronavirus. We must continue wearing our masks and washing of our hands must become a standard way of life. We must embrace this new normal for years to come whilst the world is grabbing to find solutions. I wish all residents of Ward 115 and the entire community of Johannesburg a safe festive season and a merry Christmas.”
