South African comedian Skhumba Hlophe gives back to the community

Afrika Tikkun non-profit organisation in Diepsloot has thanked the South African comedian, radio presenter and actor, Skhumba Hlophe for his generous gifts after he donated four wheelchairs to the centre.

The donated wheelchairs were part of the comedian’s Christmas gifts initiative to give back to the community in need of an extra helping hand.

Manager at Diepsloot Afrika Tikkun Wings of Life Centre, Sipho Mamize said the wheelchairs will go a long way and make lives of children living with disability at the centre easier than before.

“Afrika Tikkun beneficiaries in Diepsloot, Wings of Life Centre received four wheelchairs from the well-known South African comedian and radio presenter Skhumba Hlophe tailored to the age and needs of the children.

“The Afrika Tikkun NPC Empowerment programme’s objective, is to create an enabling environment where children with disabilities are cared for by their families within the family setup. We are very thankful and grateful to Skhumba for his generous gift to the centre.”

Hlophe thanked Wizo gift shop and all those who contributed to make the initiative a success through his Instagram video message.

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to make this year’s initiative a success and I hope you will continue to lend a helping hand to the needy. This is the least we can do to make this world a better planet to live in.”
