This, after the school achieved and maintained a 100 per cent matric pass rate with 95 per cent of learners receiving a bachelor’s pass and five per cent receiving a diploma pass in the year which was characterised by many challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic .

“The testament of our students’ character, in dealing with the trying conditions of 2020, is reflected in the exceptional results that they have achieved in their final examinations. We are very proud of our learners as Crawford International Lonehill and wish them all the best in their future endeavours. Well done, matric Class of 2020,” De Klerk said.

Rozhin Mohammadi Ravari received a total average marks of 90,92 per cent and nine distinctions in advanced programme maths, Afrikaans first additional language, business studies, English home language, French second additional language, life orientation, life sciences, maths and physical sciences. She said working hard and paying less attention to all the distractions helped her achieve good marks.

“I had set myself a target of nine distinctions from the get go. Though there were many challenges and distractions that one had to deal with in 2020, I told myself that regardless of challenges one faces along the way, I will not settle for what is less than my target. I attended online lessons during the 21 days hard lockdown and after every day to make my dream come true. I’ve been accepted at Wits University to do medicine this year,” Rozhin said.
