Officers catch three suspects for alleged possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles
DIEPSLOOT – A tip-off led to the arrest of three men in Ext 13 after two suspected stolen trucks were discovered.
Three male suspects were arrested on 4 February in Diepsloot Ext 13 for the alleged possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles.
Members of the Crime Intelligence team were on duty when they received a tip-off about suspected stolen motor vehicles spotted in Diepsloot.
A spokesperson for Diepsloot Police Station, Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said upon arrival the members found three men in possession of two suspected stolen vehicles, a Kia and Hyundai truck.

Through vehicle testing, it was discovered that the vehicles were reported stolen from the Phokeng and Tlhabane police stations in Rustenburg in the North West. “The suspects failed to give the police reasons why they were in possession of stolen vehicles. They were consequently arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles,” said Captain Mathebula.
The three suspects are expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
