Help Reach For A Dream break a world record
JOBURG – The virtual cook-along will take place on 24 June.
Reach For A Dream has created the Cooking for Dreams cook-off to help raise funds for the organisation and break a Guinness World Record in the process.
The virtual cook-along aims to join enthusiastic cooks across South Africa in an attempt to break a world record for the most people cooking online simultaneously, while raising funds for children fighting life-threatening illnesses on 24 June.
The foundation has partnered with celebrity chefs, Joao da Fonseca, known as J’Something and David Higgs as well as sponsors Woolworths, Discovery Vitality and DHL to launch Cooking For Dreams. The My Kitchen Rules duo, J’Something and Higgs will reunite and live-stream from Vitality’s HeathyFood Studio, to host the cook-along. The master cooks have created a special recipe for the occasion and curated the Cooking For Dreams box full of incredible Woolworths ingredients.
Reach For A Dream CEO, Julia Sotirianakos said, “The Cooking For Dreams cook-along is a fun way to get families, schools and corporates together in their kitchens to cook, while helping children facing life-threatening illnesses realise their dreams through the funds raised. We are looking forward to uniting South Africans as everyone comes together to cook for a cause and attempt to break a record with Guinness World Records.”
Reach For A Dream invites everyone to take part by purchasing the Cooking for Dreams box.
The Foundation aims to have 3 000 cooks join online and therefore encouraged everyone to get involved and cook for a good cause to help make dreams come true for children fighting life-threatening illnesses.
