Ward councillor found safe after missing person case is opened

SUNNINGHILL − Ward 93 councillor Candice James has been found after a missing person's case was opened on 28 June.

A missing person’s case was opened for Ward 93 councillor Candice James, however, she was confirmed found on 29 June.

Acting station commander of the Sandton Police Station, Colonel Cain Sibitane, confirmed that a missing person’s case had been opened for James on 28 June.

According to a missing person’s poster, James was last seen on 27 June in Sunninghill driving her vehicle. The Fourways Review had been in contact with James on 28 June.

Councillor Wendy Alexander, the Democratic Alliance’s Chief Whip, posted an appeal to the community to help find James. She later added that James had been found and was with her family. She thanked the community for sharing information to help find James.

Sibitane confirmed that James’ family had contacted the station to confirm that she had been found safe.
