Young dancers dance their heart out at Xstatic dance event held at Curro Aurora Galaxy Auditorium
FOURWAYS – Xstatic studio said the event was aimed at showcasing local young talent.
Fourways-based dance organisation, Xstatic Studio hosted its last dance event to wrap up the year 2021 at Curro Aurora Galaxy Auditorium under the theme ‘Changing Season’ on November 28.
A total of 66 dancers took to the stage to dance their hearts out in front of more than 300 spectators who came out to support local talent.
Dance teacher and director at Xstatic Studio Lindy Carnicelli said the event was aimed at showcasing local young talent. “Every year the studio does an end-year showcase so that dancers get to perform the routines we have been working on through the year and parents get to see them dance.
“The theme was the Changing Seasons, with different dance routines representing autumn, winter, spring and summer. The dancers and audience were asked to feel the connection of the seasons to life. Winter with its hardships, spring with its possibilities, autumn with its sombreness and of course summer with its happiness, all reminding us to feel blessed by all the happiness, health and joy we have in life”
Carnicelli said she was proud of her dancers and feels blessed to have the most amazing dance family of wonderful parents and dancers.
“ Dancers performed in a variety of styles such as acro dance, contemporary, lyrical, jazz and hip-hop all performed either in groups, duos or solos. It was a most joyous, fabulous and spectacular afternoon with over 300 spectators thoroughly enthralled by the levels of skill and enthusiasm.”
