Police hold bullying and gangsterism awareness campaign at Itirele-Zenzele Comprehensive School

DIEPSLOOT– Mathebula said during the event, learners were discouraged from involving themselves in gangsterism activities as this has potential to destroy their future.

In their efforts to eradicate the scourge of bullying and gangsterism in schools, Diepsloot police hosted an awareness campaign at Itirele-Zenzele Comprehensive High School on February 2.

Diepsloot police spokesperson Captain Tinyiko Mathebula said, “The programme sought to raise awareness about the effects of bullying and gangsterism in schools. Learners who are victims of bullying were encouraged to seek assistance from their teachers, parents or the police.”

Mathebula said during the event learners were discouraged from involving themselves in gangsterism activities as this had the potential to destroy their future.

“As police, we have assured learners and educators that more effort will be put in to ensure that teaching and learning takes place in a safe and secure environment in local schools.”
