Diepsloot playground receives generous donation of 200 used tyres

The tyres, donated by TiAuto, have been used to create fun and engaging spaces for local children to enjoy.

A playground in Diepsloot is all the better to play in thanks to the generous donation of 200 used tyres which have been imaginatively used to improve the space.

Some were used to build a ramp covered with AstroTurf which children can run on or ride up, and others create a fun L-shape tube with a head and face which will surely keep the children entertained.

A fun ramp was built with the tyres that children of Diepsloot can enjoy.

TiAuto Investments, through its subsidiary Used Tyres South Africa, is bringing smiles to the many children in the area. “As a brand, and more importantly, as a team of people that genuinely care about local communities, we want to be able to help where we can. Donating these used tyres is just a simple act to help effect vital change,” said group marketing executive at TiAuto Investments, Farishta Singh.

Singh added, “This life stage is critical in the development of young minds. These playgrounds give these young kids the opportunity to come together and learn through exploration, all in an environment that is safe and fun.”
