The Citizen Relationship and Urban Management (Crum) in Region A hosted an education and awareness campaign aimed at educating the residents in Ward 94 about the services that are offered by the City of Joburg’s entities. CRUM provides regional service delivery governance, urban management and citizen relations functions aimed to achieve service delivery excellence by ensuring that the city is responsive to the needs of the community.

Crum hosted City Power, Environmental Health, Health Department, Office of the Ombudsman, Group Forensics and Investigation Services (GFIS), Joburg Roads Agency (JRA), South Africa Social Security Agency (SASSA), and Joburg City Parks and Zoo at the Agora Shopping Centre to engage with residents regarding service delivery. All the entities and departments had pop up stalls where their consultants engaged with residents to understand and build a relationship with the entities.

“The event was a success. We had residents come over to the stalls to get information about the event and different entities. With the assistance of the management at Agora Shopping Centre and the ward councillor David Foley. We look forward to returning to Ward 94,” said Mary Morwaswi, CRUM Region A Community Engagement Officer.
