Unity College recently hosted their junior prize-giving, and this was to take the opportunity to recognise learners for their dedication to their studies.

Every learner gets a certificate that acknowledges their achievements. According to the school’s senior administration officer, Michelle Kirk, the learners also get a medal to wear proudly around their necks and hang in their homes. “We are so proud of what our early intervention and junior phase pupils have done,” she said.

This was also an opportunity for the school to recognize the selfless dedication, deep care, and persistence of their teachers as they walk the road of learning with their pupils. “It is at moments like this that a teacher’s cup is filled, and they remember why they chose to become a teacher,” said Kirk. She went on to elaborate on how Unity College makes a conscious effort to set our pupils up for success.

“Thank you, teachers, for changing the world one child at a time,” said Kirk. The prize-giving was followed by a very well-deserved water fun activity and picnic. The learners enjoyed and that was the aim.
