Local schools shine in the Midmar Mile

A total of six learners took part in the challenge.

Six girls from Fourways took part in the 51st annual Midmar Mile which was held on February 10, and February 11. The event, held at Midmar Dam, was plagued by adverse weather including high winds but the girls persevered to achieve their goals. “This event is the largest open water swim in the world and it covered swimming categories such as the family and corporate events,” said Michelle Fisher of the mommy group.
