Du Plessis, the founder and CEO of this prestigious event, said that the essence of the awards is not the award itself but the journey these women have embarked on. She acknowledged that even if there is only one winner, she applauds what each of them has done.
She said the credibility of the award is maintained by a very strict process that is being followed.
“We have over 200 women that were nominated, and those who are here tonight are the women that saved the cause. What we are looking for is women who are committed and are willing to be part of something that has longevity. I know on many occasions, people ask what differentiates the Woman of Stature awards and all I can say is that it is the process.”

The nominees had workshops that they attended and also had to go through a very strict verification. They were adjudicated by adjudicators who are leading in their lines of work online through an electronic score sheet.
The distinguished guests were treated to delicious meals and good music. Annemarie Mostert became the overall winner of the awards and walked away with R100 000 sponsored by Zunaid Moti, founder of MotiMovers, and a R6 000 voucher from Emperors Palace. The nominations for 2025 are now open.
