“We were so happy that our hard work paid off. Seeing Connor receive so many awards was especially thrilling.”

Connor echoed her sentiments, adding that “Winning these awards makes me want to try even harder and do better next time.”

Connor’s national awards hold special significance for him. He said it shows that all the hard work, frustration, and perseverance were worth it.

Sienna said her favourite experience during the Eisteddfod was preparing for her flute performances. “I challenged myself with advanced pieces, and the results were thrilling.”

She said being in a comfort zone is something she does not enjoy, and that is why she always preferred working hard.

Balancing academic responsibilities with their passion for music requires discipline and planning. Connor credits their organised parents and routine for helping them stay on track.

“We plan ahead, complete homework promptly, and prioritise our schedules.”

To those aspiring to excel in both academics and the arts, Connor offers sage advice: “Stay organised, prioritise, and don’t be afraid to challenge yourself.”

Sienna added, “Be bold, persistent, and always strive to improve.”
