This year’s event not only highlighted the incredible abilities of the students but also provided a wonderful platform for first-time performers to shine, boosting their confidence in front of an enthusiastic audience.
The event kicked off with an enchanting performance by ‘The Voice’ choir, followed by a stunning acrobatic display that set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere was further enhanced by exquisite lighting and a captivating backdrop, crafted by the dedicated arts and culture team.
Students showcased their skills in four captivating categories: Solo voice (Grades 1–4), miscellaneous dance, instrumental, and Rubik’s Cube performance (Grades 5–7).
The audience was thrilled by a delightful mix of talent, including a comedian who had everyone in stitches and a magician who astonished us all with his record-time tricks. The applause from proud parents echoed throughout the evening, celebrating the young talent on display.
Shivani Sahadeo, the school principal, expressed her pride in the learners. “We have so many talented individuals in our school, and this event is a true testament to their abilities. By providing a platform like this, we not only celebrate their talents but also foster their growth and confidence.”

At the end of the night, the excitement culminated in the announcement of the winner. Kayla Jules was crowned the champion of ‘Crawford’s Got Talent’, a well-deserved recognition for her outstanding performance.
Kayla expressed her surprise at winning, saying, “I was totally surprised when I was announced for the trophy, as there were many incredible acts and performances. I was quite nervous that I’d make a mistake whilst playing my piece, but I’ve been practicing this song for months for my Trinity Rock and Pop Grade 5 drums practical exam, so I was well prepared, despite my anxiety.”
Kayla also offered advice to future performers. “The best advice I can suggest for performers is to not overthink anything. If you think too deeply and put pressure on yourself to play perfectly, you have a higher chance of making an error, in my opinion. Also, if you’re trembling with nerves, just go with it, and play like you’ve never played before.”
Crawford International Fourways created an unforgettable experience that celebrated the incredible abilities of its students, setting the stage for many more talents to come in the future.
