Knit Wits show up for one of their own’s 70th birthday
Lynton Lefervre, who has been part of the Knit Wits for over a decade, hosted quite an affair on his birthday, reflecting on how he has dedicated his time to those in need, and his achievements.

Fourways resident Lynton Lefervre marked a great milestone, celebrating his 70th birthday in style on January 9 at Farhills Manor Clubhouse.

The occasion was a true reflection of Lefervre’s dedication to giving back to the community, as he was surrounded by friends and loved ones from Knit Wits, a community organisation he has been a part of for many years.
Knit Wits encourages its members to show the power of the needle by knitting and crocheting for charity, and provides knitted goods to those in need every year, for the 67 minutes for Mandela initiative.

The birthday bash was a lively affair, with guests enjoying delicious food and drinks. Jacques Lajesse, a talented entertainer, kept the crowd enthralled with his performances. However, the highlight of the evening was Lefervre’s heartfelt three-page speech, which reflected on his life’s journey.
With humility and gratitude, Lefervre shared stories of his upbringing, successes, and most importantly, his passion for giving back to the community.
