Pupils from Junior College Sunninghill burn off some energy at their annual sports day
Laughter, cheers, and vibrant school spirit filled the air as Junior College Sunninghill hosted its annual sports day, bringing together learners, parents, and staff for a day of friendly competition and community fun.
The grounds of Junior College Sunninghill were alive with colour, cheer, and boundless energy on August 2, as the school hosted its much-anticipated annual sports day.

From the moment the first race began, the atmosphere was electric with parents cheering from the sidelines, teachers rallying their teams, and the little athletes giving their all in every event. The programme featured a variety of fun and age-appropriate races and activities, encouraging teamwork, perseverance, and a healthy dose of friendly competition.
Principal Bev Singh expressed her pride in the school community’s spirit and enthusiasm. “What a fantastic sports day we had this past Saturday. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and team spirit. It was heartwarming to see our little ones giving their best on the field, and even more special to witness the wonderful support and involvement of our parents. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success, from the enthusiastic learners to the dedicated staff and supportive families. It was truly a day to remember.”
The event was not only about sports but also about strengthening the bonds between families, learners, and staff. Parents joined in on some activities, adding a light-hearted and fun twist to the day, while food stalls and refreshment stands kept the crowd energised.
