Community donations help 26 Regomoditswe children start 2026 confidently

Twenty-six children from Regomoditswe Children’s Home will start the 2026 school year with confidence and pride thanks to a generous initiative led by the Lonehill Senior Coffee Club.

As the school year begins, 26 children from Regomoditswe Children’s Home in Sebokeng are stepping into 2026 with more than just new school supplies; they are carrying a renewed sense of confidence, dignity, and hope.

What began as everyday conversations within the Lonehill Seniors Coffee Club has grown into a remarkable act of kindness, resulting in the children receiving complete sets of stationery, brand-new school uniforms and shoes, as well as wheelie suitcases and backpacks.

For the children, the impact goes far beyond the physical items. House mother Pinky Modisang said the donations have brought reassurance and dignity at a crucial moment. “To receive these generous and unexpected donations has meant that we entered 2026 confidently, knowing our children could start the year with every bit of stationery they required.

“They can walk proudly dressed in new uniforms and, the cherry on the top, brand-new wheelies and backpacks.”
