Two arrested in Jukskei Park chase linked to stolen gate motor syndicate
Thanks to a watchful resident and quick security response from Onarmor Security Services, suspects for stealing gate motors were arrested after a dramatic chase.
A vigilant resident in Jukskei Park played a pivotal role in a dramatic incident early on January 22, alerting Onarmor Security Services to a white Audi matching the description of a known vehicle of interest.
It is believed that the suspects driving the car are involved in a gate motor syndicate in the area. “Our response officers were immediately dispatched to intercept. Upon locating the vehicle, a high-speed pursuit ensued,” said the owner of the company, Cedric Smith.

He said the chase concluded at the intersection of Witkoppen and Hyperion drives, where the suspects’ car was involved in an accident.

The occupants attempted to flee the scene on foot, but their attempts were in vain. “Our officers engaged in a foot chase, successfully apprehending and arresting two suspects.”
Smith said the scene was promptly handed over to SAPS, with all relevant evidence secured to assist with the ongoing investigation.
The operation demonstrated the power of community vigilance and coordinated action. Onarmor control centre extended thanks to the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum, Neighbourhood Watch, and fellow security company partners for their crucial support during the operation.
“These arrests highlight the effectiveness of community vigilance combined with rapid tactical response,” said Smith.
