CrossFit 360Vida hosts successful girls Gone Rx event
63 fiercely contesting women gathered at CrossFit 360Vida in Fourways for the Girls Gone Rx competition to raise breast cancer awareness.
On November 16, CrossFit 360Vida in Design Quarter, Sandton, played host to the Girls Gone Rx competition, an internationally renowned event dedicated to breast cancer awareness.
The competition saw 63 women register and compete in four events throughout the day, showcasing their strength and solidarity with cancer warriors in the community.
The event was a resounding success, with more than 200 people in attendance. The atmosphere was electric, with women from all walks of life and ages coming together to support a worthy cause. Each win experienced by the teams felt like a victory in the battle against cancer.
As the first-time host of an event of this magnitude, CrossFit 360Vida’s Laraleigh Ruzicka was thrilled with the outcome.
“It was awe-inspiring to facilitate and share with so many strong women. Having served the CrossFit community for 12 years, we have touched over 5 000 lives in the Fourways area and counting. Our programming is unique to all other facilities and is designed to make fitness fun again while guaranteeing results.”
The competition consisted of four events, with 18 winners emerging across various divisions. Each winning athlete received a gift bag filled with goodies and vouchers from sponsors, including Piercings by Alex, KS Chiropractic, Studio 48, TyDyl Apparel, Nutritech, 32GI, Redbull, and Revive.

“The highlight of the day was event 1, the largest event of all four. This event saw 63 athletes take to the floor for a never-before-seen weightlifting spectacle lasting more than 40 minutes. Seeing all of these strong women lift and leave it all out on the floor for a cause was incredible.”
She said they planned to host the Girls Gone Rx event again next year, with hopes of growing the event and increasing its impact on breast cancer awareness.
