The day was not without its emotional moments. As parents watched their little ones embark on this new journey, many felt a tug at their hearts. “It’s completely normal for parents to feel nervous, or even shed a few tears, but maintaining a positive, upbeat mood is crucial, as young children often pick up on their parents’ emotions. Showing confidence can help them feel secure,” said Durrant.

Durrant also explained that, for the little ones, the first day can be fascinating yet overwhelming, but preschool teachers are well-trained to handle the first-day jitters that kids might experience. “We strive to create a welcoming and nurturing environment where children can thrive.”
