Ward 115 residents, and ward councillor Mark van der Merwe, celebrated a victory in local service delivery following the swift repair of a damaged storm water drain that had threatened roads in the area.
Van der Merwe expressed his satisfaction with the prompt action taken by Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) to address a potentially dangerous sinkhole on Inchanga Road after just one week of reporting the issue.
“After Johannesburg Water (JW) and I identified the potential sinkhole, we flagged it with JRA, and they committed to making repairs quickly. I’m thrilled that they were onsite on January 22. Their quick response helped prevent further deterioration of this essential roadway.”
