Whole Earth Recycling launches initiative to revolutionize recycling in Paulshof
The award-winning recycling organisation invites the community to join them at the launch of the initiative, which will come with knowledge about recycling and more.
Whole Earth Recycling is tackling the pressing issues of waste management and community development in Paulshof. By providing a safe and formal recycling process, the organisation is not only improving the environment but also creating sustainable employment opportunities and promoting education.
“At Whole Earth Recycling, we’re committed to making a positive impact on the Paulshof community,” says Carmen Jordaan, representative of Whole Earth Recycling. At the heart of this initiative is the Hawk Flight team, consisting of 35 sorters who earn a steady income by sorting and selling recyclable materials. This programme has already proven to be a success, with individuals like Blessed Marufu and Norbet Marufu rising through the ranks to become team leaders and warehouse managers.
“Our Hawk Flight team is the backbone of our operation. By providing them with a safe and stable work environment, we’re empowering them to take control of their lives and build a better future for themselves and their families.”

But Whole Earth Recycling’s impact goes beyond job creation. The organisation is dedicated to educating the community about responsible recycling practices, promoting a culture of environmental responsibility that benefits both individuals and the wider community.

“Education is key to creating a culture of responsible recycling and waste management. By working with local schools and community groups, we’re promoting a culture of environmental responsibility that will benefit future generations.”
Through collaboration with the Paulshof Residents and Ratepayers Association, Whole Earth Recycling is ensuring that the community is fully engaged and supportive of the initiative.

Jordaan said by working together with the association, they aim to create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment for all residents. “We’re proud to be working in partnership with the Paulshof Residents and Ratepayers Association. Together, we can create a better future for the Paulshof community and set a shining example for other communities to follow.”

One of the most impressive aspects of this initiative is the emphasis on safety and well-being. Whole Earth Recycling provides a secure and healthy working environment for its employees, complete with essential facilities and personal protective equipment.
“The safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority,” explains Jordaan. “By providing a safe and healthy working environment, we’re empowering them to thrive and reach their full potential.
“Our vision is to cultivate a culture of responsible recycling and waste management that extends beyond Paulshof. We believe that by working together, we can create a cleaner, greener, and more inclusive future for all.”
Residents are invited to join the association for the Whole Earth Recycling initiative launch on March 4, at Nova Pioneer at 18:00. Details: info@hillcommunity.co.za
