Fast & Furious star Noel Gugliemi heads to Fourways for Idle Auto Expo
From the streets of LA to Montecasino, Hollywood’s 'Hector' is set to bring star power and real talk to Fourways car enthusiasts.
Hollywood actor Noel Gugliemi, famously known as Hector in the Fast & Furious franchise, is coming to South Africa for the first time to headline the Idle Auto Expo at Montecasino from August 1-3.
Fans have seen him in Fast & Furious, Training Day, The Purge, and most recently High Rollers alongside John Travolta. Now, Gugliemi is ready to bring that Hollywood energy to Fourways while connecting with local car enthusiasts and sharing his inspiring journey from street life to the big screen.
Gugliemi said It feels amazing to be meeting people from the other side of the world, to see how they think, and what the fans thought of the movie.

“You hear all the stories locally, but now to hear something from the other side of the globe is going to be surreal.”
During the three-day expo, Gugliemi will host exclusive meet-and-greets, sign memorabilia, and share real-life stories about his rise to becoming part of one of the world’s biggest movie franchises.
He said he’s excited to learn more about South Africa’s car culture and build new connections with the community.
“At Idle Auto Expo, I am looking forward to new relationships, new stories, and new adventures. I’m excited to meet the team and create new memories while learning more about South Africa.”
According to Idle Auto Expo CEO Alistair Andrew, this year’s event is designed to go beyond showcasing cars alone.

Gugliemi said it has been humbling to see how the Fast & Furious franchise has inspired people worldwide, including in South Africa.
“In the beginning, we never knew what it was going to be or become, but to see what it is today, it is truly a blessing to be part of the franchise, to see how it’s affected people and what it’s done for so many.”

Beyond his acting career, Gugliemi often shares his personal story to encourage young people to pursue their dreams with resilience and integrity.
“I always encourage people to be a person of integrity, always be a person who is going to do what they say. There’s only one way you can fail in life, and that’s to quit in life. Don’t give up. It took me eight years to get my first movie. Even when I got it, I still had to work hard at it.”
