Netcare Sunninghill Hospital warns public about fake nursing and job training offers
The medical facility has issued a new warning about nursing and job training scams circulating online, providing guidance on how to verify legitimate job opportunities.
Netcare Sunninghill Hospital has again issued a warning to the public about fraudulent job and training offers circulating on social media, WhatsApp, SMS, and email.
The alert, posted recently on the hospital’s official social media channels, comes as scammers continue to exploit the Netcare name to trick job seekers into sending money.

The hospital reminded the public that these scams often advertise free nursing training or dream job opportunities, but request upfront payments or banking details from applicants.
Netcare emphasised that legitimate recruitment, learnerships, and internships are never advertised this way.
This is not the first time the hospital has warned the public about such scams. Last year, Netcare spokesperson Lynne O’Connor told Fourways Review that the hospital was aware of unauthorised use of its branding in fraudulent advertisements.
At the time, she highlighted key warning signs for job seekers: Applications asking for banking details, only providing a cellular number while claiming the landline was out of order, interviews conducted outside Netcare facilities, and requests for upfront payments for administration, uniforms, or accommodation.

“Applicants are asked to send payment as part of their application, with promises of either employment or training, but are then defrauded of their money.”
She urged the public to be vigilant and warned that these scams were ongoing and not limited to any single hospital.
The hospital’s latest social media post reinforces this advice, urging anyone seeking employment or training with Netcare to always check the official website at www.netcare.co.za/careers.
Any genuine opportunities are listed there. Applicants can also contact the Netcare Human Resources Shared Services Centre on 086 022 5547 to verify a job or training offer.
The hospital called on job seekers and students to remain vigilant, review any suspicious posts carefully, and report potential scams to prevent further fraud.
