Traffic management plan
The walk will start at Uranium Park, with participants turning left onto Winnie Mandela Drive before continuing past Pieter Wenning Road and then turning left into the Indaba Hotel Conference Centre.
Motorists travelling along Winnie Mandela Drive can expect rolling closures of the left-hand lane, with JMPD officers directing traffic into the right-hand lanes at key intersections.
“These include the intersections of Uranium Street and Winnie Mandela Drive, Pieter Wenning Road and Winnie Mandela Drive, and the Indaba Hotel entrance and Winnie Mandela Drive,” said Fihla.

He urged motorists to plan ahead, reduce speed, exercise patience, and obey all instructions from officers on duty.
Road users who do not need to travel along Winnie Mandela Drive towards the Indaba Hotel during the walk are encouraged to consider alternative routes to avoid possible congestion.
The event is expected to disperse between 12:00 and 13:00 at the Indaba Hotel.
