Location: The projects are situated on Portion 80 of the Farm Kalbasfontein 365-IQ and the Remainder of Portion 71 of the Farm Kalbasfontein 365-IQ, 5.5km west of the R28 and 15km south of Westonaria, Rand West City Local Municipality, West Rand District Municipality, Gauteng.
Project Description: The projects will evacuate stored electricity to the Eskom Bernina Main Transmission Substation. Each facility will consist of a BESS, substation and switching station, O&M buildings and laydown areas within 10 hectares. The Grid Connection Corridor will be 5.7km in long and 1.5km wide at its widest point.

Additional Relevant Legislation
•Water Use Authorisation may be required in terms of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act Nr 36 of 1998), Sections 21(c) and 21(i).
•The National Heritage Resources Act, 1999 (Act No 25 of 1999) is triggered and comment is required from SAHRA
