VMX success at Riversands
The second round of the Vintage Motocross (VMX) nationals was held at Riversands Farm in Fourways.

Classes included Modern Vets and Masters MX as well as a Modern 125 and Open two Stroke Class for Vets (over 30).
The legendary Roger McCleary was the commentator for the event which saw biking enthusiasts head to Fourways to catch a glimpse of some of the Vintage Motocross bikes.
Gareth Ireland came first in the VMX pre 75, scoring an overall of 50 points. He was followed by Evan Pretorius with 44 points and Steve Ireland, who came third with 40 points.
Shaun Kirk won the VMX pre 90 race with 50 points. Michael Caldwell came second place on 40 points followed by Rodney Odendaal with 37 points.
Gerald Leightley came in first place in the VMX pre 85 B followed by Fanie de Haas and Grant Steward.
The fourth race of the day, the open two stroke class, was won by Jonathan Hubbard on 45 points, followed by Belinda Holz with 38 points and Evan Pretorius with 37 points.
Kirk also won the VMX pre 80 class followed by Paul Alcock and Paulo do Couto.
