Taekwon-Do centre is tops

PAULSHOF - The Taekwon-Do Martial Arts Centre in Paulshof is growing from strength to strength.

The centre participated in the fifth Taekwon-Do Friendship Games in Primrose, Johannesburg. The 27 students of the centre raked up an outstanding 57 medals at the games. Jenine Hutchinson who runs the centre said the students competed in patterns, sparring, couples patterns and board breaking.

The centre is situated in the Cambridge Office Park on the corner of Witkoppen and Stonehaven Roads in Paulshof. Hutchinson said the centre focused on self-defence and they have children’s and adult classes every day except Sunday. The centre is currently preparing for the South African Taekwon-Do Championships in Port Elizabeth in October. Hutchinson said the championships was the most prestigious local tournament of the year.
