Kyalami to host regional racing
KYALAMI – Motorsport enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that regional motorsport racing will be back at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on 28 March.
Hosted by the Sports Car Club, races are to be held in the following categories: Super Saloons, Modified Production Cars, Silvercup, 250 Superkarts, Formula Monoposto, Alfa Trofeo, Midvaal Historic Saloons, SRA cars and Inex Legends.
“All these categories produce exciting racing in various makes of cars from Mazdas to Chevrolet Corvettes in Super saloons, VW Golfs, Renaults and Hondas in Modified Production Cars, and various single-seater makes and models in Formula Monoposto,” said club representative, Shelley-Anne Taylor. “Inex Legends are always a draw card with close hard racing being the norm. Let’s not forget the Alfa Trofeo category with up to 24 different Alfa models doing duty on race day.”
Taylor added that there would be on-site catering in the area behind the pit complex. “Open access to the pits allows you to get up close to the cars, and drivers who will be happy to tell you about their cars and what this type of racing is all about.”
