Best bowlers win big

SUNNINGHILL - The Rivonia Bowls Club hosted a tribute tournament for late member Gill Barker at the Rivonia Sports Club on Achter Road.

THREE FOR THIRD: Karen Hunking, Jill Sinclair and Cathy Dryburgh of Bryanston Sports Club come third place in the tournament.

Numerous clubs from around Johannesburg including the Bryanston Sports Club, Killarney Country Club and Morningside Country Club participated in the Gill Barker Ladies Tips.

Disey Spamjaard, Dorothy Savage and Tracy Meyeridricks of Bryanston Sports Club were the winners of the tournament, with Natalie Cumin, Annette Dimani and Barbara Mosselson of Killarney Country Club coming second.

Apart from the tournament winners there were lots of other giveaways in the form of spot prizes and a raffle.

The Rivonia Bowls Club is looking for new members and encouraged community members to try out the sport which provides outdoor entertainment and exercise for young and old.
