Take part in the Midrand Striders and Arthrochoice Half Marathon

KYALAMI - Runners can take part in the Midrand Striders and Arthrochoice Half Marathon 21km race, or a 10km run or walk at Kyalami Equestrian Park on 23 August.

Race organiser Marietjie Airey said the longer route will take runners through the quiet country roads of Kyalami and Sun Valley.

Airey said, “Thanks to the collaboration with Cova Advisory, the race will be a carbon-neutral event which will help provide Wonderbags – non-electric portable slow cookers – to 50 households. Runners can also make a donation, a portion of which will go to Cluny Farm, a home for mentally-challenged adults.”

Airey added that the race has had a great turnout over the years, with many runners enjoying the countryside feel. With the help of sponsors, club members and the committee, the race caters for everyone who chooses to walk or run.

The 21km and the 10km races start at 7am, and the 10km walk and 5.8km fun run will start at 7.15am.
