A local runner and member of the Waterfall City Athletics Club has once again proved to be one of the finest runners in the country.

He said winning two marathons in a space of one month will help boost his confidence ahead of major competitions such as the Comrades Marathon.

“The victory means a lot to me. It gives me hope that I can do well even in longer distances, also as a build-up for fast races it means that my mileage base was perfect,” he said.

Mudzinganyama explained that short-term goals help him perform well. “To be able to keep up in the field, I always set myself short-term goals leading up to a big competition. For spectators, these efforts are not easy to identify. I always try not to be limited by external factors on my running.”
