Waterfall City Athletics Club member cruises to win his second race of 2022
The local runner said taking it one race at a time, helps him to stay focused.
A local runner and member of the Waterfall City Athletics Club has once again proved to be one of the finest runners in the country.
Givemore Mudzinganyama won this year’s annual Seshego 50km Ultra Marathon in just 2:51: 15 on May 1 in Limpopo.
In April, Mudzinganyama won the Hemel en Aarde Marathon held in the Western Cape.

He said winning two marathons in a space of one month will help boost his confidence ahead of major competitions such as the Comrades Marathon.
“The victory means a lot to me. It gives me hope that I can do well even in longer distances, also as a build-up for fast races it means that my mileage base was perfect,” he said.
Mudzinganyama explained that short-term goals help him perform well. “To be able to keep up in the field, I always set myself short-term goals leading up to a big competition. For spectators, these efforts are not easy to identify. I always try not to be limited by external factors on my running.”
