Fourways runners shine in Johnson Crane Hire Marathon
Between the 21 and 42km races, the Fourways Road Runners had 15 athletes competing.
Members of the Fourways Road Runners joined the 41st edition of the Johnson Crane Hire Marathon hosted by the Benoni Harriers on January 28.

A total of 15 members joined the race with nine running the 42km and six running the 21km race.

Representing the Fourways Road Runners, Moses Marwa was the first member of the club to finish the 42km race at 03:08:18.
In second place was Vincent Manazere who finished in 03:21:05. Third place was Angela Blake who finished in 04:00:35.

Manazere said, “The last 10km were hard but I soldiered on, and I am happy about the time I finished the race.” He said he did not stop at any point and kept running.

The chairperson of the club, Robin Porteous said she was ‘very proud and said the members represented the club well’.
21km race top finishers:
in 1st place, Chad Kilian in a time of 01:55:38.
in 2nd place, Richard Halton in a time of 02:25:18.
in 3rd place, Brittany Hall in a time of 02:25:19.
