Changing the face of talent
RIVONIA- Fourways resident Elsubie de Lange is changing the face of entertainment with her Rivonia-based talent agency, Just You Model and Artist Management.
Just You is the exclusive South African agent for the New York Film Academy. De Lange, who is the founder of the agency, flies in the New York Film Academy director of admissions annually to conduct auditions in South Africa. This allows local artists to have international educational opportunities.
De Lange has managed to secure $244 000 in terms of partial scholarships which has allowed disadvantaged local artists to still receive an international education. To date, the talent agency has 23 students at the New York Film Academy.
Every year the talent agency hosts the International Talent Showcase which gives young South African artists the opportunity to be seen by talent scouts from New York and Los Angeles.
“International education has always been a personal dream very dear to my heart,” De Lange said. “I never managed to study internationally and made myself a promise that one day I would find a way to make this happen for others, and allow South African artists this ultimate opportunity.”
