Get fit, fierce and fabulous for charity

SUNNINGHILL - The South African Pole Sports Federation’s Pole Unity will be holding its fourth charity fundraiser event on the 30 August at The Barnyard Theatre Rivonia.

The federation will raise money for the Kmad dance outreach programme.

Hosted by 5FM’S Nicole Da Silva, all proceeds raised on the night will be given to charity and promises to demonstrate the fun and energetic nature of pole fitness. The event will allow beginners and newcomers to be introduced to this new and exciting way of keeping fit.

The federation’s director Julie Swart said, “After three successful annual Pole Unity events since 2011, we are proud to announce Pole Unity which will be taking place. It will be bigger and better than the previous years because of the growth in popularity of pole fitness studios all over South Africa.”

The fundraising events have managed to raise more than R100 000 for charity and all pole fitness studios have been invited to take part in this event.The federation has made it its mission to assist and help pole fitness studios to grow and develop in the industry, and this event will provide this platform.

Men and women are invited to take part and see the benefits of pole fitness. According to Swart, pole fitness will increase body tone, muscle definition, improves flexibility, boosts weight loss, increases fitness levels and keeps exercising fresh and exciting.

The event will allow all guests to get moving and try out the poles on display and discover new ways of keeping fit.
