Trevor Noah’s joke fools #Oscars audience but South Africans laugh out loud
The daily show host's inside joke fooled Oscars audiences but left Mzansi in stitches.
Daily show host Trevor Noah was a presenter during Oscars night on 24 February and his Xhosa joke had Mzansi in stitches but not so much the Oscars audience.Â

Noah said “Abelungu abazi ubu ndiyaxoka,” which he ‘fake’ translated into, “In times like these, we are stronger when we fight together than when we try to fight apart.”
What it actually meant was, ‘white people don’t know I’m lying’.
