Fourways Crossing marketing manager Beverly Sefuralo said the turnout and response from the community showed just how important wellness-focused events are for residents.

“People came ready to move, have fun and prioritise their health, which is exactly what we hoped to achieve.”
She added that the centre remains committed to creating experiences that bring people together while encouraging healthier lifestyles.

“The energy is always good because, as instructors, we give people the energy so that they can follow us.
“I wish we could do this every month because it helps build consistency and grow the numbers. When people know it’s happening regularly, they invite others, and it becomes part of the community culture.”
She encouraged residents to remain consistent with their health journeys throughout the year, instead of only focusing on fitness at the beginning of the year.
“I don’t believe in the ‘new year, new me’ mindset because even those of us who are strong fall sometimes and then restart again. The important thing is to keep pushing and encouraging one another.”
Residents who attended the event also enjoyed giveaways, samples and the opportunity to connect with others in a fun and uplifting environment.
