“The energy is always good because, as instructors, we give people the energy so that they can follow us.

“I wish we could do this every month because it helps build consistency and grow the numbers. When people know it’s happening regularly, they invite others, and it becomes part of the community culture.”

She encouraged residents to remain consistent with their health journeys throughout the year, instead of only focusing on fitness at the beginning of the year.

“I don’t believe in the ‘new year, new me’ mindset because even those of us who are strong fall sometimes and then restart again. The important thing is to keep pushing and encouraging one another.”

Residents who attended the event also enjoyed giveaways, samples and the opportunity to connect with others in a fun and uplifting environment.
