Watch: Desperate nyala tries to drown wild dog
In an attempt to free itself from the clutches of a predator, a buck heads for the waters. What happens next? View the video to find out.
A guide at Serondella in the Greater Kruger Park managed to capture the battle between would-be prey (a nyala) and predator (a lone wild dog) on video.
In the footage posted on LatestSightings.com, one can see the buck head for the water in an attempt to drown the wild dog, and free itself from its teeth.
The nyala’s desperate screams attract lions and results in the wild dog admitting defeat.
