Hospital adjust visiting hours to offer families more time

Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital adjusts visiting hours.

The Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital (TMRH) will increase its visiting hours with an additional hour on October 1.

The hospital issued the communication on September 12, which might be appreciated by many families who have to report for work during the day and return home before 16h00 in the afternoon.

According to TMRH communicant assistant director Joseph Monaheng, visiting hours will be adjusted from 14:00 until 16:00 to 14:00 to 17:00.

He said the additional one hour is to allow the public to see and fetch their loved ones after working hours.

“Only two people at a time may see a patient. Because of safety reasons for both staff and patients, they are still not allowing night visits,” said Monaheng.

The hospital encourages the public to practice hygiene in the wards, such as hand washing, sanitising, and wearing masks where necessary.
