Gospel greats come together for special picnic

Over 20 renowned South African gospel performers are collaborating to present the gospel music festival of the season at Carnival City on Saturday.

The All White Gospel Picnic is a family friendly, outdoor celebration on the sprawling Festival Lawns.

The event, a vibrant kick-off to the festive season, will be headlined by the legendary Sipho Makhabane.

Also in the line-up are heavyweights such as Judith Sephuma, Dumi Mkokstad, Betusile Mcinga, Zaza Mokhethi, Tebello Sukwene and the golden couple Nqubeko Mbatha and Ntokozo Mbambo.

Crowd-pullers Thinah Zungu, Khaya Mthethwa and Sipho Ngwenya will entertain the fun seekers.

Completing the star-studded programme are Shaun P, Mabongi, Janine Price, Mawat, Sicelo Moya, Xolani Jwaga, Verona and gospel group, We Will Worship.

Thami Ngubeni, Sphumi Mabena and Vusi Gcabashe are the hosts for the uplifting showcase.

There will be entertainment to suit all ages.

The picnic starts at noon and is scheduled to end at midnight.

No cooler boxes and bottles will be allowed into the venue.

Refreshments and food will be sold inside the venue.
